Reflection

                My experience with project one was surprisingly very good. I did not think that I would be able to produce quality work because the class being online, but I was able to focus more because it was easier to finish my assignments on my own time without the worry of spending 50 minutes of in-class time. I thought that the writing would be difficult because I would want to ask more questions but having the twitter with our classmates was very helpful when it came to answer those questions.

                I liked project one very much because I was able to write about a person I admire and I’m very passionate about reading and books. The project was easy to understand and writing about something or someone you like is easy. Also, having an outline made the project easier because it was a good understanding of what the essay would consist of and the main points that we would have to talk about, as well as the structure, which I realized a little later. The video conference and the additional comments helped me very much. I am trying to change the way I look at feedback because I’m usually afraid to see what they say because of the criticism but I noticed that college is a different place and they give helpful criticism that will allow me to see my mistakes and improve my writing. In project one I needed to proof read a lot more and now I am beginning to read my material out loud to provide better quality work.

                Writing the first draft was the hardest part of the project because I had to think of the structure of each sentence what would be said about each of the compositions. It wasn’t easy to find the best thing to write about at first but after completing the first draft it was a relief because all I had to do was shape the essay into a better piece of writing. I am glad that we did two drafts instead of one because it was helpful to get partner reviews and I was able to edit my essay once more and find the right words in my toolbox. It may need editing again but I’m glad that I have a produced work that I like, and I am passionate about.

                My partners for the project were wonderful because they found errors that I did not see, and it is always helpful to get it from people who actually read through the essay and understand what you want to say and how it should be said. Their feedback was much needed, and I am glad I was able to read their papers as well. Reading the other papers on every body’s website was also helpful because I was able to compare the essays and think about what I can add to mine. Having other resources available to me was a great help. Project one was a good experience for me and I am glad that I was able to create an essay that I truly cared about.
