This source relates to the topic because it focuses on the western views of Africa, especially the negative perceptions. This is the first source and it relates to the other sources because the purpose is to focus on the negative perception. It does not relate to the other sources because this is more on the side of “factoring in the roles of Africans”. The strengths of this source are the factoring in the roles of Africans while pinpointing the western perceptions. It is also not bias to any of the sides. The weaknesses are that the source only provides one side and that it doesn’t give a more overall point of view. The source is more centered to one point. The source is interesting because it is more fulfilling to learn more about the role of Africans instead of just the negative perceptions that we are aware of.
